Last week, I happen to have been tagged along by a friend to try out Castlepeak’s buffet at the Dining Room. I noticed that they had this big aquarium with a relaxing blue in it mounted by the Reception Area. It’s really eye-catching and somewhat calming to see its color and all the fishes swimming in that big aquarium. I wish I had something like that in my house then I’d just have to look at it to relieve my stress.
When we entered the dining room, I thought the lights were rather dim giving off this cosy atmosphere. They have this Filipino theme in their cuisine offering dishes like Rice with Bagoong, Kinilaw, Lechon among other Filipino favorites. They may not offer a wide array of dishes but I think it was rather sufficient and they taste really good. I especially love their grilled squid! Since I also have Filipino tastes buds to the core, I really enjoyed their lechon, Maalat with tomatoes and Dilis. It was so good. Their buffet is priced at Php 349 and I think that it’s really worth it because you get to enjoy good food and music as well. They happen to have live bands to serenade you with songs all throughout your whole dining experience at The Castle Peak.
When you’re ready for dessert, they have the Halo-halo and Ice cream section all at your disposal. I felt bloated afterwards.
Claire Tolentino then gave us a tour around their function areas with a spacious balcony that’s overlooking the city. Talk about great view with the cool wind while celebrating any special occasion. It’s even more beautiful if you bring along your beau to enjoy the view with you. Romantic right?!
After you’ve stuffed yourself with delicious Filipino food and enjoyed the beautiful view of the city, you can check in their chic yet affordable rooms.
This pseudo-condo room is rated at about Php 2888 with it’s own living room, bed room with balcony and restroom with a bath tub. If you prefer a much cheaper price, you can opt for their deluxe room rated at Php 1888. Though it may not offer a bathtub but If you’re on a budget you can choose it instead.
