You get a strange feeling when you’re about to leave a place, like you’ll not only miss the people you love but you’ll miss the person you are now at this time and place because you’ll never be this way ever again. - Azar Nafisi

Never chase love, affection or attention. If it isn't given freely by another person, it isn't worth having.

Ice Skating at Mall of Asia

Finally arriving at MOA! (Carla and I goofing around)

Living in Cebu, Ice skating was definitely like a pot of gold in our ears since there is no ice skating rink in Cebu in the first place and thinking of skating on ice was definitely something NEW to us. So, when we reached Manila since it was part of our APEX tour, hitting the ice was one heck of an action-packed activity! I had such a BLAST! I still retrospecting about the whole experience. I just love the cool temperature with a seemingly 16 degree Celsius, It's as though you are in the US (or placed inside the chiller)

Every time you speak, smoke seems to come out of your mouth and I love how the cold is making me looked flush. I feel much prettier, like my pores are tightening up and my cheeks getting flushed. I just love the cold. One way to escape from the heat this coming summer and you can already enjoy a whole day UNLIMITED skating for the price of P300 per pax but it's all worth it especially when it's your first because the whole experience per se will be so enjoyable.

At first I was having a hard time balancing since the ice was super slippery, but eventually when you manage to stand up and do your math without holding unto the railings and observing the foot works of the coaches and other people skating, you'll learn eventually without the need of a teacher. All you gotta do is observe and shake off that fear of getting hurt and you're on the right track.

Shayne and Daisy loving MOA..

It's not really obvious that we're having a hard time balancing right? Work it, people!

Foams start to fall from the sky 'este' ceiling lang naman..

Puri on Ice ice baby, come on! sing it!..

Strik a pose!

Daisy and Hans loving the ice!

Daisy Rubin with the ever so cliche peace sign..

You just gotta work your feet sideways, like rollerskating - but BETTER. Do it slowly and you'll eventually get the hang of it. Falling a lot of times is definitely part of the package so you better be prepared with your pain reliever haplas (lana de Herbal) because you would certainly harbor body aches when you get home. But it's worth it, because it's so much FUN!!!!!! Can't wait to go back to MANILA!!

Captivating Camotes - "Live life to the brim, no regrets"

The Island of Camotes screams "Gorgeous!", every view is like a picture waiting to be taken. I for one have long been dreaming of going to Camotes. A  perfect escape that's just roughly 3 hours away from the hustle and bustle of the city-life. So I prepared a plan-of-action and asked my friends if they wanted to come along. Much to my dismay, all I get was a wave of flat-out "Nos" and "I don't want to get dark" or "The sea water gives me allergies." But I didn't let all of that get to me. I'm very willed about this jaunt and very hopeful that my plans would push through and I won't let anyone try to stop me coz I'm stubborn like that. Yes I am.

this is not me okay!..

Besides, I've always said to myself that if ever opportunities come my way I hope that I would have the courage to seize it. After all according to Flint Lockwood (cloudy with a chance of meatballs) "We've got a diem to carpe". I also believe that you should go where the wind takes you. Think American. Wear your heart on your sleeve and don't let anyone tell you what to do and what not to do with your life because it's your life, so live it well, live it right. Plus, I like to adapt to that kind of independent thinking, a creative-thinker and a free-spirit married into one personality. Sure you can go around wild and free, just doing your own thing, however, you need to know your limits (use your brain while you're at it).

Life is truly beautiful, if you know how to live it and it's not meant to be taken TOO seriously because no one gets out alive anyway. In the end, we'll all come back to a pile of dust vanished and forgotten (well, for most of us that is). While we're young, we might as well experiment and commit as much mistakes (that's not too major and irrevocable) in life so that we still have enough time to find solutions and learn from it and not committing the same mistakes again as we get older.

Life's a gift, enjoy it. We might be able to live to a ripe old age to make the most of it and we'll eventually realize how precious it is when it's already too late.  Wallowing in self-pity is definitely a no-no! choose to follow your heart. Think out of the box!

So I dare to travel ALONE. why? because it's something that I haven't done before and I just wanted to give it a try. I want to know what it feels like to travel alone. So, I set off at dawn under the inky sky (time check 3:30 am baby!). I took off from Lapu-lapu city and reached the port of Danao after 1 hour and 45 mins. of travel. From the circumference, I had to ride the barge going to the port of Consuelo with a minimal fare of P180 or P150 if you present a valid student's id.

2 hours later, I arrived at Consuelo, Camotes with its seemingly rustic views and provincial atmosphere. It's very peaceful and serene and the sun is shining beautifully with a wave of searing heat. The only thing on me agenda here is to chill out with my music. So I set off to Santiago Bay. Mind you, it's hard to get a cheap transportation on this island. My tip: Go rent a motorcycle for the whole duration of your trip for P500 exclusive of gasoline that's P65 per liter. Reaching Santiago bay, I grabbed my blanket and stayed under their warm huts and just chilling out. Pure R&R and I also got to meet Stephanie, 31 y.o and of Swiss decent and she's traveling alone for like 8 months jumping from country to another. too bad I didn't have a picture taken with her in case you don't believe me. But she's real. I didn't feel like taking much pictures because no one is there to take pictures of me and the beach. I'm really just after the experience. Enough said.

If there's one thing I learned from I trip. It's this: I'm never going
to travel alone. EVER. EVER. EVER. I don't ever want to live alone. EVER. EVER. EVER. Never travel alone, you'll only resent it. Another thing that I learned is that, no matter how beautiful the place is, no matter how gorgeous, you can never find complete happiness and contentment with a place or with a group of people because everything is temporary, the joy and laughter. The only thing that's permanent in this world is God. Our home is not in this world but it's with God. The perfect dream is to live with Him in His kingdom and not of pleasure and places of this world. Happiness, Joy, Love and Contentment can only be found in GOD. I did feel lonely about my whole trip. However, I learned.

Next time, when I hit the beach. I'll make sure to go with friends so we can check off every to-do list on top!

Thanks for dropping by, I'd like to hear from you! don't be hesitant to leave a comment below. Keep living, keep sharing!
